Few secrets from cosmetologist
To understand what happens during a facelift, let's talk about it in more detail. Most existing techniques are divided into several stages. First, excess skin is removed and facial tissue is tightened. At the same time, excess neck skin is removed, neck muscles are tightened, and fat is removed. SMAS lifting is by far the most popular method of face and neck lifting. It includes two levels: the first layer, consisting of the skin, and the second, subcutaneous, made of connective tissue found only on the face. It is called (SMAS) - muscular-aponeuric subcutaneous layer. The second layer in the neck is called the platysma and consists of a thin vastus muscle. During the operation, excess skin on the face and neck is removed, and the second subcutaneous layer is tightened and lifted.
