reading and self-improvement
I want to share some thoughts on the benefits of reading. The reason why reading books is so important is that by reading we get smarter, grow emotionally and psychologically, learn new things and broaden our horizons. When we read books we get life experience, thoughts and experience of other people, which, probably, we would never think of ourselves. We learn new things, we enrich our vocabulary, we experience emotions and feelings that other people have experienced. Reading broadens the mind! When we read, we learn about the world around us and expand our boundaries. We cannot experience and know everything in our short lives. Reading books is one of the great things that speeds up the process of learning about the world, and gives us the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills of all the previous generations who have lived before us. Reading develops the imagination and by reading, we develop imagination and fantasy. By immersing ourselves in the process of reading, our brain concentrates on the events described, generates images and pictures, and creates its own universe. Reading teaches your brain to keep your attention on one thing and to live in the present. As we follow a storyline, our brain involuntarily learns storylines, names, events, and dialogues so we don't lose track of what is happening. As we assimilate information, our brains become better at remembering things in real life as well. In other words, when we read, we train and develop our memory.
