Euphoria comes not from the fact that you managed to meet a partner in the broad sense of the word, but from the release of the hormone dopamine, which is responsible for pleasure. This happens at the first stage of falling in love and should be ignored for the best. The fact is that our ancestors, thanks to a simple chemical structure, successfully continued their lineage. The psyche received signals about a representative of the opposite sex, assessed it visually, through smells and available information. If expectations and ideas were met, a large amount of dopamine entered the bloodstream, sympathy arose and this was enough for intercourse. Nature did not provide for long-term relationships.
