How do you start a fun conversation?
Keeping a fun and boring correspondence or live is not always easy, especially when trying to win over a new friend or potential soul mate. The most important thing in a conversation is not to think about messages for too long and calmly discuss topics of interest to you.
Start with a simple topic. There is no need to reinvent the wheel. Ask if your friend has watched the new episode of your favorite TV series or what he did over the weekend to start a conversation. When the interlocutors have a topic that is interesting to both of them (sports, television, early elections), they have an excellent reason to talk.
Ask for an opinion. People love it when others ask for their opinion, so they will happily answer your question when meeting or in correspondence. If you show an interest in a person's views, then he will be happy to continue the conversation with you. Focus on what the other person is saying, not your own opinion on the issue.
Write funny and cheerful messages. Even if you are bored, the interlocutor does not need to know about it. If you constantly complain about boredom, then the interlocutor may lose interest and stop responding to messages, as he thinks that you are bored with him. Instead, focus on the positive and be enthusiastic about the topic of your conversation.
Here are some examples of how to start fun conversation:
Come out with a compliment.
Talk about the venue.
Ask a favor.
Open with a joke.
Start with an innocuous observation.
Ask a question peripherally related to your intended topic.
Tell me about yourself. Have you done anything exciting lately?
What made you smile today?
How did you meet the host?
What's your favorite form of social media?
What was the last good book you read?
Do you listen to any podcasts?
